A Very Colorful Legacy: Chapter 7
Welcome back everyone. :) Last chapter I showed you Scarlet's spare life and Kent moved in. Nothing too exciting. There's a little bit of mild language, so be forewarned. This chapter is pretty long since I needed to do some major catch up. Enjoy!
The family is just moving in to their new home. Red is enjoying the stereo outside.
While Noelle is starting her garden.
Vermilion is enjoying the pool. She wants to get some fun in before her wedding!
Speaking of which, the guests have arrived. Most just wander through the new house.
Scarlet hits the stereo.
Noelle begins mixing drinks. Only one for you Noelle!
"No problem! I'll have all the champagne I need anyways!"
Crazy old lady...
Soon more people filter outside for the wedding, but a few get distracted by the stereo...with the wedding going on behind them.
Well no matter who was paying attention, the wedding must go on!
Danielle: "Dammit Noelle's head is in the way!"
And with the kiss, Kent became a part of the Color family.
Applause followed from the very few observers.
Vermilion was at least happy that her best friend showed up.
"Thanks for actually watching the ceremony Danielle. You're a good friend."
"Well isn't that the point of a wedding party? And I would never miss my best friend's wedding."
Shortly after it was time to eat cake. Vermilion shoved a huge bite into Kent's mouth first!
Jessie quietly ate some gellatin.
Some ate a little too much...
"Damn I'm fat!"
Some conversations didn't work too well though.
"Yawn. This old bat is so boring."
"She is not one I want to talk to."
But why? You know she's your daughter's best friend.
"Your point? She's not MY best friend."
Geez Red. Harsh.
"I blame old age."
At least SimMe and Vermilion got along.
And then it was time for the traditional wedding toasts. Danielle of course led the show.
Jessie drank daintily from her glass.
"I wish they had something stronger..."
But all parties must end, and this one ended as a roof raiser. But then it was time for a whole lot of cleaning up.
And then...well...use your imagination.
The days became normal after that. Red and Noelle enjoyed playing music together.
But something crazy was going on outside. Poor dog.
"HELP!"
"*whistles* Stupid Rex causing all this mess."
Kent! There's two dogs beating the shit out of each other other there!
"I'm busy."
*headdesk*
Lonely?
"Yes."
Well normalcy returns when Kent finally goes off to work. For the first time since he's moved in!
Everyone was enjoying some relaxation.
Even Rex got some time to himself.
Vermilion was the first to wake. She got a phone call.
Rex was next. He went outside to enjoy the warm autumn day.
He's got skill.
Noelle was next.
"Stupid weeds!"
At least she got her bronze badge.
Vermilion and Noelle enjoyed an early dinner that night.
And then Vermilion FINALLY popped!
"It's so great that you didn't get pregnant until you got married!"
"Thanks Mom..."
Red finally went to work after three days off and FINALLY got promoted!
"Who's Gwamma's wittle gwandkid? Goochie goo!"
Don't scare the kid Noelle!
"What? I think it's crying..."
Kent is finally home from work. He's gotten two promotions in a row and has only been home for a few hours.
"So...tired...what's for dinner?"
Ribs...unless Rex gets them first.
"*drool* Those smell heavenly..."
Vermilion finally popped a second time. Longest. Pregnancy. Ever.
She really likes swimming still. I wonder if her child will too?
Kent! Another promotion! Great job.
"Yeah yeah. You try working for almost 24 hours straight."
Other accomplishments are popping up around the house too. Nicole got her silver badge!
And Red became Head of the SCIA! YAYY!! PERMAPLAT BABYY! I don't have to pay attention to him now!
But I will...for Lily. ;)
"Oh dear. Uhh hello? Where's my husband!"
.....Uh....he's...sleeping.
"That bastard! What about Mom and Dad?"
....Yeah...they're sleeping too. Maybe you should have gone into labor at an earlier time.
"I can't help it! OWWW!!!"
And we welcome little Periwinkle into the SimWorld. :) She has a mysterious skintone...Vermilion's eyes and Kent and Vermilion's hair.
Vermilion set her new daughter into her crib. She couldn't wait to have more!
