In the weeks and months following 9-11, co-workers were putting cheap plastic flags on their cars to proclaim their patriotism.
I refused to do that - I held my patriotism strongly within my heart well before that infamous day and still do years after.
I do not need to advertise to everyone stuck in traffic alongside me that I, too, love my country.
Sure - God Bless America… please. We definitely need it. Support the troops, they are the vanguard of those freedoms we take for granted.
We Will Never Forget? Of course not, but then again - we will never change.
Everyone has precious and caustic opinions about the war in Iraq, certainly it is a subject of great controversy. No matter what camp you lie in, be it liberal, conservative, or (my favorite) independent - one salient fact remains… it should have been over a long time ago.
You prove an interesting read, comrade. Post more often.
