Like fertility, breastfeeding is one of those things you just assume you'll be able to do when the time comes. As a girl, all your life, you're told that you will have a baby, and depending on who raised you, you were probably told at some point that you will breastfeed that baby. not.. really.. true.
i followed the boob nazis on that one - and didn't supplement - and isabella ended up in NICU due to severe dehydration.
blech.

it happens to the best of us. no need to feel badly about it. but i get it. i had major guilt over it even though i knew it wasn't my fault.

Hunter was only formula/bottle fed. I never once felt guilty. It was a choice I made and I am happy about it. He is very healthy, only been sick 2 times his whole life and once it was my fault because I was sick. Don't feel bad and tell everyone else to fuck off. This isn't the Shanna I know, the Shanna I know does not care what everyone else thinks and goes about her merry way but flips them the bird before walking out of sight ;)

I"m sorry that your getting flack about not being able to BF. THat was a really good entry you made, made me think of myself. Just keep your chin up, YOU KNOW YOU TRIED..that's what matters most. And with the next one, maybe it'll be different. ((HUGS))
