... I think I need to re-watch the My Little Pony: FiM season finale again. I watched it Saturday when I was exhausted and moody and because of that I'm not sure I enjoyed it as much as I could have.

Though it would have made more sense to me if a) Celestia was in the midst of holding off the evil Queen when the minions suddenly attacked the city, and because she was occupied, she tells the mane six to get the elements, and the battle ensues, then b) in-between shots of the mane six kicking ass, or at least in the background, the audience can see other ponies, at *least* the guards and Luna, fighting off the minions too. I could have lived with the sudden and unexplained appearance of Cadance and Shining Armor, and pretty much all the other annoying bits, if they just made the battle at the end more epic and gave Celestia some credibility, for once! When she was defeated, I was just all, "uhh, really? THAT WAS IT?"
I guess I just prefer the simplicity of the regular episodes, overall... though I did love the Discord episodes too. The finale aimed a bit too high, and because of that I think it failed in several crucial areas. I'm not exactly the brightest person when it comes to pointing out plot holes in fiction, but they were so glaring in these episodes of FiM that even I noticed them. But again, there were plenty of awesome things in the episodes, too... so I overall enjoyed it, I just didn't like it as much as some of the regular episodes or the season 1 and 2 premieres.
