hai puppeh!!! :D

i know what you mean, we've got persians & they get pissy when you try and brush them, but their fur gets so matted if you don't, so we give them lion cuts and, surprisingly, they absolutely love it! their skin's not being pulled/hurt all the time from tangled/matted fur, and their butts are cleaner.

PS - just saw this & thought of you:

Oh, I love his cut so far! I think I may keep him shaved, and once she lives with me again, my long-haired kitty as well. They both have white fur and it shows up on everrrrything. So far I've barely noticed any shedding from my dog since shaving him, and he seems unaffected.

and lol you are like the millionth person to show me that picture :P I think it's funny because it's actually an adult Simba plush that's dangling, not Mufasa... although that happens in the movie also everyone refereces this as the scene from the stampede. Scar looks so derpy too, I've yet to see a good official plush of him lol.

oh my god i just wrote you a big comment and the computer ATE it, arrgh! DX

i actually did notice that was grown-up simba too (fellow hardcore disney freak over hurr!). but i'd never seen it before so it made me lol & instantly think of my lion-king-loving friend shann. ♥

scar's face definitely looks, err.. off, in any plush i've ever seen of him. for shizzle. his eyes always look doofy.

i also think like 99% of barbies/other dolls modeled after real people seem to look not-quite-right (or just downright inaccurate).

BAH, i wish you lived near me so we could geek about this stuff together in person! no one i know "irl" shares my interests, and i'm often labeled "childish" (is that supposed to be an insult..?) and misunderstood.

i'm not ashamed of my differences and i do embrace who i am, but it'd still be nice to know some like-minded people, and not feel so alone sometimes. ♥

ARGH COMPUTERS Dx

Yay! I am happy you thought of me. Sorry if what I said came of sounding... annoyed? I love being associated with Lion King all the time, it makes me so happy x3 I tend to laugh when I'm sent the same Lion King memes over and over again, because it means that a lot of people think of me whenever they see something Lion King related. I secretly (or not-so-secretly?) appreciate that :3

I have seen two well done Scar plushies, but they were both fan-made. One was an altered Simba and the other was made from sculpted foam. His face is just so uniquely shaped that it's difficult for Disney to get it right when they're mass-producing them, it seems x3 The most accurate one they've done, I think, was this one.

It would be awesome if we lived near each other! :'D I guess I'm lucky in that I have several friends who also love Disney movies (not quite to my level, but still). In fact, I'm surprised you're getting flak for it... I thought it was becoming sort of "cool" to be fond of classic/renaissance Disney animation these days, especially amongst 90s kids and especially lately.

oh no worries, mate! i know what it's like to be shown something on the intarwebz for the 90 bajillionth time. i've only recently just begun getting on the 'puter more after awhile of inactivity, so i am an old lady now and completely out of touch with what the kids are into these days. X'D

that's a pretty good scar! definitely could be skinnier, & doesn't have that long, narrow face shape that he should -- looks too mufasa-ish to me -- but it looks way higher-quality than any i've ever seen in stores!

you're definitely blessed to have friends who share your interests! ♥ i don't get tons of flak for it i guess -- definitely some, but not tons.. if i shared some of my passions with more people (i.e., my coworkers), i have a feeling i'd get a lot more shit. but i don't tell those bitches much of anything, because they already make gagging sounds when i cook or eat my vegetarian food around them, so why would i open myself up to more biased and idiotic criticism? they honestly annoy more than hurt me, so it's not like i'm crying in a corner somewhere. it'd just be nice if they'd at least *PRETEND* not to be so judgmental. /TANGENT

i guess it's just mostly that when i try to geek out with someone over cartoons, as their eyes glaze over and they start to nod politely, it makes me a little sad that no one i love appreciates what i do. i've heard "when are you gonna grow up?" before. bitch i gots a job, i pays my bills (mostly..), and last time i checked, i'm a grown-ass woman. but i can still appreciate a goddamn good cartoon.

it just makes me sad that being an "adult" is apparently synonymous with becoming a weary drone with no imagination. i'm proud of retaining my sense of childlike wonder. sometimes i think children are the smartest of us all.

and anyone who has a problem with that can feel free to fellate me. ♥

*EDIT* i forgot to mention in the above comment, but i'm (almost) 27 and most of my friends are in their 30s.. i don't have any young hipster friends, so maybe that has something to do with it.

come to think of it, i don't have many friends, period... lol srsly! oh well. */EDIT*

oh & you've probably totally seen this one already as well, but i thought it was a coincidence that i saw it last night, after we've been talking about such things:

my boyfriend was scrolling through failblog with me over his shoulder, & i was all "OMG SHANNON!!1 WAIT LEMME BOOKMARK THAT FOR MY TINY LESBIAN FRIEND!!!1!!11" lolol XD ♥

Lol, I haven't seen that one! Which probably means that I'll be seing it again soon.

Yeah, now that I think about it... most of my friends are in their early 20s, while I'm 26. People who are currently in their 30s sound like they may have been just a bit too old to appreciate the Disney renaissance. I feel sad for them D:

Generally the people you're around sound like jerks :X I tend to immediately lose respect for anyone who tells me to "grow up" based on my interests rather than my character. It's an excuse to make them feel better about themselves.

THAT'S RIGHT BITCHES, YOU JUST REMEMBER THAT *I* WAS THE FIRST ONE TO SHOW THIS ONE TO SHANN!

lol jk (OR AM I?) XD

yes, i do know many jerks! i'm only recently learning not to give a shit whether or not other people approve of me. i've gained a sense of security i've never had before and it feels wonderful.

Hehe, that is quite an honor lol :3

That's good to hear. No one deserves to feel like crap because they're teased for harmless reasons, like having unusual hobbies or interests. As long as no one is getting hurt, there's just no reason for that. There are more important things in the world :|
