Underwater Chess Club
SO I REGISTERED FOR CLASSES TODAY. I'm on for Mondays and Wednesdays 1:00pm-5:15pm + a TBA online course. I'll be taking Western Civ, Math for the Liberal Arts (lol), and Criminology. The online class will be Environmental Science. Two of those are re-takes of classes I failed several years ago that will satisfy my requirements as well as grant me grade forgiveness, so if I don't fuck up it should pull my GPA out of the crapper. Same goes for the classes I'm taking now.
Speaking of, I still have a pile of projects and papers due in the next few weeks that I have to finish. And I'm still procrastinating :)
... also on my mind as of late has been an all-consuming OBSESSION with getting an HDTV. 8( I've been doing research online, going to stores, checking prices, etc. And I think I've settled on the newest 32" LG 1080p model... which is damn cheap for what it offers, and has the best-looking display of all the cheaper TVs that I've seen... though the Samsung series 4 32" was a close contender. It was cheaper but only by $44, so if I'm going to shell out a bunch of money I may as well spend a bit more to get something better.
SO NOW THAT I HAVE OBTAINED THIS KNOWLEDGE, I WILL TELL THE IMAGINARY GIFT-GIVER IN THE SKY. And basically hope I'll get Christmas money towards buying it because I know my family would give me the stink-eye if I asked them to spend $600 on a television. My mom already said I'm getting nothing (while laughing in my face ;__;). And every time my grandma gave me money while I was unemployed, she called it an "early Christmas present" so yeah, I'd be a dick to ask her.
BUT I AM GOING TO SAVE FOR IT. AFTER NEW YORK. UM. YEAH.
I started some Christmas shopping today to completely contradict that. And I am a little more than pleased with some of the presents I'm giving :D I think this is the earliest start I've gotten in awhile, actually, but because of the craziness of school followed by the trip I'd like to be sure I get it done.
I'm working on Thanksgiving, which should... bring me in some money. I'm still going to be making most of the dinner the day before and I'll be home in time to eat, so I'm not sacrificing too much. I do hope someone will record the parade for me, though. BTW if you guys want to be stalkers my job actually provides webcams of all the playrooms and yards... kind of unsettling. If I ever pick a wedgie at work it's for the world to see.
