Had a nice day today. Went to Down Town Orlando, spent about a half hour looking for parking (it's a nightmare parking Down Town, everything is all TOW AWAY ZONE RAWR) until I finally bummed a spot in front of a 7-11. I walked around in a few uber-cute boutiques and bookstores, hung around Lake Eola for a bit, took pictures, then treated myself to some vanilla scones and a honey latte from Starbucks.
There were a lot of people with dogs and OMG it was like 101 Dalmatians IT WAS SO CUTE. Blonde teenage girls with pretty golden retrievers, large, middle-age men with jowly english bulldogs; curly-haired women with poodles, scruffy college kids with cute mutts. It was fun just to people watch. I certainly want to go out there again soon and bring a picnic and some board games to play by the lake. There were lots of swans, herons, and cute little duck families, too. It really is a super nice city. Lots of rich people wandering around there, and lots of artists.
I stopped at Fashion Square Mall on the way home, looked around, didn't buy anything. I was tempted by Enchanted, though. :O Then I headed home to meet Sam and her new gf, April; we had a decent time hanging out, smoking, being silly. It was surprisingly much more comfortable than I expected it would be. After April left, me and Sam watched some Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Kodomo no Jikan. I didn't make it to the movies, so maybe I'll do that tomorrow before work. I would really like to see the rest of I am Legend, maybe go to Lollicup, too. Delishioso.
Work is probably going to suck this weekend, but I'll have Sunday/Monday off. Daytona and Anime Express are a definite for Sunday; still not sure what my Monday plans will be. Maybe I'll go out to Disney and hang at the hotels. I want to make the most of the break without spending too much money (beyond gas, which is a given. Bah.)
Still need to check out social services to see if they can help me out financially this month. Don't know how to go about it just yet u.u; My car expenses just keep getting higher and higher and it's becoming much harder to keep up. Thank goodness I had that extra $223 lying around in my school account. Otherwise, eh. I'd be in big trouble right now.
