This weekend was awesome. I'm pretty sure I gained about 20 pounds in 2 days.
Friday night Flori and I took BART to SFO. We had a drink at the airport while we waited then hopped on a plane to Long Beach.

Once we got there we took a cab to the Varden hotel.
We dropped our stuff off and walked down the street to a vegan cafe called Zephyr. Sooooo good.
We decided to get a few drinks so we walked down the street and found a cool little bar that looked EXACTLY like one in Portland. Kinda tripped me out. We watched some crazy drunk old lady play pool and dance with herself to no music which was hilarious within the first half hour of being there. We ended up spending a ridiculous amount of money despite some random old man who bought rounds for everyone for a couple hours then stumbled back to the hotel around 2am I guess.
The next morning we got up early so we wouldn't miss the Genitorturers show at 11:30. We walked to Denny's of all places since nothing was open and we didn't know where else to go. I ended up having to buy shoe inserts at Big 5 cause my shoes were killing me. Turns out we read the schedule wrong and they were playing at 11:30PM, not AM. We ended up getting to the event right about the time it opened and walked around for a couple hours taking pics. Outside of the Queen Mary they had a huge car show, a whole tattoo section where artists from all over set up shop, all kinds of clothing booths and novelty stuff, a couple stations where you could get your hair done retro style, a mechanical bull, a food court and 2 different stages. Inside the Queen Mary (which was amazingly huge and impressive) they had the main stage and a few bars set up. We watched a couple bands inside and wandered around outside most of the time.

After a few hours, we decided to go back to the hotel to change and rest up for a bit. Flori had a special surprise dinner planned. We grabbed take out from the vegan restaurant and took a cab to the pier. He had reservations for a boat rental. It was so freakin cute. It was a pretty big electric boat with a canopy over the top and plastic windows you could zip up or down all around it. We rode out to the middle of the water and parked next to the Queen Mary. We ate dinner on the boat and listened to music while the sun started to set. There was this beautiful orange glow everywhere. The whole setting was so peaceful. After dinner he turned off the radio and started telling me how much he loved me. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said something like "Awwwweee babe..." and kissed him. He paused and said "So, ummmm?" I laughed and said "Yes, of course". We did the cute kissy, lovey thing than drove the boat back to the harbor.
We got off the boat and decided to grab a drink at Tequila Jack's before we went back to the hotel to change clothes.
After we changed we went back to the Ink n' Iron fest for the Genitorturers show. I was super stoked but super tired also. I drank a lot that night and never ended up catching a buzz which I thought was weird. The show was awesome. There was a sort of dark musical comedy skit with crazy, sexy performers, pole dancer/gymnasts, a latex fashion show then the band. Good stuff.
After the show, we called it a night.
We tried to sleep in the next morning but ended up laying in bed awake for a few hours instead. We finally got up and got ready and went to the Zephyr cafe for brunch.
We had no plans for the day so we packed our stuff and left it at the front desk to pick up later. We cabbed it to the pier and went into the arcade. Flori played inside while I talked to my grandparents outside for a while. After that we walked to a little bar on the pier, ordered a vodka & OJ and sat outside in the sun watching people pass and listening to the band play a few doors down.
We walked around downtown for a bit, stopped at the book store and browsed bridal magazines and then walked to Starbucks and hung out there for a while. We were both in lazy vacation mode.
After a quick stop at the hotel to grab our stuff, we took a cab to the airport. Our flight ended up getting delayed by an hour so we went upstairs to the restaurant/bar and ordered a pitcher of beer and fries while we hung out on the deck and watched the planes take off during sunset.

It was finally time to board. Once we were seated, the captain announced that we would be stuck there for another hour and wouldn't be leaving until 9. We uncomfortably watched TV on the plane, read for a while and finally took off. We got to SF around 10, took BART to Pleasant Hill then a cab from BART and finally made it to bed around midnight.
So that's it. I had an awesome weekend and now I'm officially engaged to the most amazing guy ever. :)
We've picked June 5th, 2010 as our wedding date!
