An thats the way the cookie crumbles
Good Morning, well its been a wicked fun shift.. ive been on dutie sence ruffly 1pm yesterday, and im still on dutie.. We had a killer storm blow through, it was Wicked SICK!!... Im still on dutie as of this moment but am looking forword to around 12pm when i can sign off dutie.. untill then it looks like im going to be incharge of engine 1.
But let me sum up whats been goin on:
last night we had 8 guys go on station coverage, plus me an my roommate. they all came on at 7pm, while myself and Lt. Haskell had already been on and doing runs.. so it was nice to get some fresh people in and let them do some work. lol. Alright well after we got everyone signed on, they started putting them into engine companies, Now engine 2 being our busiest company, who ends up there.. but me! i tell ya just when you think your gonna be able to sleep at night... NOPE! Well then my roommate signed off at 3am cause he had to go plow do driveways, or atleast do morning break out. So i get shafted over to Engine 1, the second buisiest company. Which wasnt to bad. To sum it all up, iv had about 5 cups of coffee, was cranky as hell all morning long and told one of the fire fighters that was pestering me about driving a dam truck that "if you think your gonna drive that truck, there are 2 things your gonna do while riding under my controll. A. Respond with only 1 redlight.. not the whole dam barrage of red lights, but one and thats the one ontop of the truck, and B. NO SIRENS! we have all nigt to get to the call and i dont feel like pushing other vehicles off the road and causing more buisness for us later on." he didnt like that, maybe cause he is a ragging lunatic that likes to listen to fire trucks and see the glare of redlights as they bounce off the road while responding... that just makes me a little nervous when i think of it. YES, if you havent guessed im a little cranky.. but wouldnt you be? lol no sleep, and putting up with stupid people for the past 12 hours... its enough to make crazy person go insane... alrighty well.. id love to stay and chat but it sounds like breakfest is almost done and after that i get to look forword to being sent up to another station for an hour or so with engine 1... well so it sounds right now... shrugs... ill put another entry in later on..
