Pop star sensation Lady Gaga surprised her millions of fans by parading on stage without an underwear showing that she is intersex and has male and female genitalia. This has not yet been confirmed, but the video is certainly interesting.

It's not true.

The quote comes from a satire site making fun of all the nasty rumors that have swirled around Lady Gaga--a woman who is unashamed of her own sexuality becoming a success? God forbid she should be free to pursue her career without constant attack--and is inconsistent with Gaga's typical speech patterns.

I highly, highly recommend reading this post from Idolator and reading the queerspot comments from the first anonymous, yinyang, anonymous at August 8, 1:47 pm, Nox, and Caitlin and thinking very hard about what they have to say.

Lady Gaga's private parts are no one's business but her own. An accidental flashing onstage is not an invitation to speculate on them and I find it extremely vile that people continue to use "OMG, look that woman's really a man!" as a way to attack women who achieve success on their own terms (there's a long, LONG history of people maliciously claiming that a successful woman is really a man), a way to attack Lady Gaga in particular (for the horrible, horrible crime of being a pop star?) and as yet another way to promote the idea that being anything other than cisgendered is weird and wrong.
