I take it all back, it reads really well right now, I dunno if it's cos it's on the printed page now and not in my inbox, but I love the slow unfolding of the story. ♥

And the second paragraph has always been my favorite, but added to the first, ugh I love --

The only thing that disrupts the carefully scheduled life he has sets up are these triggers Sergio has. There are no patterns to them, these sudden bouts of incredible loneliness and a chest pain that can’t be explained medically. Anything can set them off, no matter how minor, sometimes he can’t even explain it. The way a customer’s brown eyes crinkle in the sunlight, a new trainer at the gym with freckled cheeks, or even walking by a local park and seeing a group of kids kicking around a ball. Whatever it is, the result is always the same.

That night, he’ll go to one of the seedy clubs that litter his neighborhood and pick a guy. Any guy will do, there are usually a dozen of the really desperate ones who come up to him, and he picks the easiest of the bunch. He never asks for names, doesn’t remember if they tell him. And when he’s done he always kicks them out. Sergio’s gained a certain reputation around that crowd, they call him Gitano, the gypsy who uses and never goes back for the same one.

WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH DANNY?

It's obvious Danny's going to play a big part, but I'm not sure what. The straight best friend? The experimental possibly gay teammate? The jerk in the locker room who always riles up Nando? The possibilities are endless.

Mmm, experimental, possibly gay teammate sounds delish. 8D Like Nando is all shy and doesn't want to go out of bounds in his new team so he pretends to be straight and all, and then BAM they start to get attracted to each other and rediscover... things.

I don't knooooow. This was supposed to be a serious comingout!fic, and I really wanted Nando to be true to himself you know? Pretending to be straight probably doesn't work too well when he has two gay dads. :P. OMG Xabi/Stevie is so hard to write. I miss them. ._______.

Ah oldschool liverpool feels. I was actually a lot more upset with Xabi leaving than I was with Nando. Long story short, I HATE FENWAY SPORTS GROUP and I actually want Liverpool to do badly enough this/next season so they'll get sold. For me, Nando leaving the awful management who sold all his friends was pretty justified. Lots of hate for J.W. Henry. Anyways, I get really in pain heart pumps irregularily upset when I see Xabi/Stevie moments now. :(
