Title: Changing Sammy's Mind
Summary: Four days after Jess's death, Sam's a mess. Just not the way he's supposed to be.

Dude, Sam’s voice is EPIC. It’s so Sam but at the same time, off enough at times that you can just tell how messed up he is. Like the perfect balance of crazy and sane. And it’s totally and completely different from Dean’s voice so there’s no confusion at all from going back and forth between POVs. I’m fucking impressed.

It kills me that Sam wants Dean’s touch so bad, but Dean thinks he’s hurting him when he’s too close. Myyy boooyyyssss. Sam just loves him soohohoooooo muuuuccchhhhhh. (I’m going to use an obscene amount of letters. It’s either that or capslocking my feelings). I thought Dean was completely gone with his love for Sam, but no. I think Sam just might have him beat. You’re killing me with these two. I don’t think I’ve ever loved their relationship so much. The way they talk to each other makes me ridiculously happy and oh God that endinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg (the more letters, the more I love it).

Also…you snuck in sign language. Marry me?

God you know I will. Have you read Lipreading? It's one of mine around here...somewhere...not in the verse, but it's Sam's POV with some signing, so you might like it!

thank you thank you thank you. honestly the reason I wanted to write this is because fandom has been making me so SAD because people talk all the time about how Dean loves Sam more and it's like...are you BLIND? NOT saying Sam loves Dean more, but just that it's really fucking stupid to try to pit one of them against the other, and it seems to be like, accepted, that Dean cares more about Sam. And just like...ugh. There's SO much evidence to the contrary. Sam's just quieter about it because I think to Sam it's just not as big a deal. So i wanted to play with that.

I was really nervous about Sam's voice, though, so thank you. It was fun contrasting it with Dean because I gave myself permission to just go SO full Dean-voice for his parts, which was really fun.

You continue to amaze me. Every single time, I'm expecting these to be amazing and then it's always so much more than that, mind-blowingly better than I expected. I don't even have sufficient words, because I'm not smart enough, and your level of awesomeness is way beyond me.

This one made me so sad. I adore the way you showed us Sam's grief. And the whole idea, that when Dean's close the pain is gone but he can't breathe, and when he's away it's just the pain, that's so brilliant. Also, your Dean is kind of amazing. So is your Sam, but your Dean. I can't even begin to describe how he makes me feel.

Well. DUH I love it. So sad, Sam's very real grief postponed with all his physical bullshit, his longing for Jess and his even-more-intense longing for DEAN, though he can't be near him for most of the fic but OH WHEN HE CAN...

Also, absolutely smitten with the idea that in Dean sometimes smokes in this 'verse, but can't around Sam. Would not be sad to see more of that, no.
