LOVING YOU FOR LOVING MY CAS (as well as for other things, obv). NOW I JUST NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE FUCK TO DO WITH HIM. which requires me to remember what the fuck happens in season 4. i get very confused. there are all these motivations and secrets and things. i'm too dumb for supernatural.

So the thing about Cas is, he is won away from his ENTIRE WORLDVIEW by his love for Winchesters. And that's a much bigger deal for angels than it is for humans.

I think it'll be really powerful for him to see Sam going through something frightening and dangerous (I'm talking about demon blood here, not asthma, and Dean would hate that I even have to make the clarification) and doing it for all the right reasons, and seeing the way Dean sticks by him despite all his doubts. It's the kind of thing that would demonstrate to Cas what humanity is about.

In canon, Cas seems to join Team Free Will kind of whimsically, like, oh fine, Dean, I guess we won't destroy your world.

You talk about fixing things?

Cas could be won over HARD by the the things you do with Sam and Dean, and it would be relatable and justified.

Am I making sense?

You're already doing it automatically. Dean isn't interested in saving the world (well, he is, but) he's interested in saving SAM. Cas is already noticing. You're not doing that on purpose? It's working like crazy.

I AGREE WITH ALL OF THIS. And it feels like it totally is all pretty much set up for it to go this way. I think you could pull it off! But I dunno, I just started writing 4 days ago haha.

Ugh I barely remember what happens either. Except I was angry. I haven't marathoned supernatural since before season 4 ended which is a shame because that was like ALL I DID in high school. So THAT'S happening over winter break....
