please please please let me get a role in this show...
i had an audition tonight. i wasn't feeling nervous about it because it's an all girl cast, and i thought that meant i was probably guaranteed a part. turns out that is not the case, because two girls from our company were already guaranteed parts, and more people showed up than i expected. i'm not even really sure why i care, the play isn't really that good anyway, and it's never even been done before.
classes are ok. not great, but not awful. audition class is by far my favorite, i am learning so much about the business of acting. sociology with lyn lewis is a close second because she shares her poems about human sexuality with us and they always make me pee in my pants a little. i never thought an intro level biology class would kick me in the pants so hard, but it sure is. father albright is the cutes old man, but definitely the boringest one too.
the boyfriend thing is...inexplicable. and work is weird. i need some regular hours. and maybe a second work study job.
and that's my life right now. cross your fingers that i get a role, and those of you that pray, you can go ahead and do so if you want.
p.s. keep in mind that my birthday is the 14th, so that leaves all of you only ten more days to come up with a fabulous gift. tell me if you need ideas and i would be happy to give you an extensive list of all my birthday needs.
