Internet Down
So ... due to the earthquakes in ummm - I am so not up to speed .. perhaps Vietnam??, the internet has been soooo slow and I have not been able to access messenger or hotmail. Because of this I can't post pictures from my Xi'an trip yet - I will as soon as possible because there are some really great shots. I am enjoying my first of 3 days off for new years which I have spent cleaning, organizing and of course going to the gym.
Exciting news for now is as follows:
- I am going to Cambodia, Thialand and Laos over Chinese New Year in Feb.
- I have successfully completed month 3 of going to the gym (now 5 days per week)
- New Years eve was spent at Push's with Jill, Adam, Sandra, Dave and a few people from Push's building - I suck at remembering names). It was a really good night which lasted until 4am, mellow and relaxing - perfect.
I am down to my last full 6 months of working in Shanghai. Time flies by that is for sure. I remember getting here and thinking a year would go by quickly and so far it has. I am going to get my little but up to Beijing and down to Hong Kong for some long weekend fun in March and April if all goes as planned. I am tempted to get to Japan at some point as well, although it is expensive and I hear it can be hard to travel due to lack of English speaking people. I'm just so close really it would be a shame not to go.
As 2007 begins, I am reminded once again how fortunate I am to be in China. I am learning os much about culture, life and humanity in general. Most importantly I am reminded of how lucky I am to be healthy and happy.
