my experience
Me becoming deaf wasn't that big of a thing. When i was 2 yrs old, i climbed up a book shelf and went to the top, when i got up there, i fell to the bottom and the book shelf fell on me. I had to go to the hospital to close it up. Couple years later, around 4 1/2, my sister was tryin to talk to me, she told my mother i ignored her and i got a lil' spanking. After this, it got worse, so my mother took me in and found out i was deaf from that fall when i was 2. The biggest irony i've seen in my life is the fact that my parents are both deaf. Is this fate or what?? that i've been born hearing, became deaf just like my parents?? It's weird to me. I came to csd meeting people deaf around my age. The reason i sucked at ASL was because i was raised in a hearing world besides my parents, i hung out with my friends all the time, not so much with my parents.. sorry abt that peepz, i hope my ASL has improved. I am glad to have peepz like yous at csd and glad to have my wonderful parents who sent me to csd (kinda sarcasm in that, sorry) LoL...
