I got my license last Friday! It's hideous, but it's power is magnificent. Band camp was Monday through Friday. It was fine. I am now tan, believe it or not. I guess my acne medication is good for something after all (considering it certainly doesn't cure acne). I had a red cross meeting on Wednesday after band camp. The local youth corps chapter is made of the Dominican musketeers and several of the most backwater white trash hicks I have ever encountered. I swear it. A large portion of the meeting was focused on youth corps conduct, including smoking in public. Funny thing is, youth corps members are all under eighteen. After the meeting, the youth corps adult director's twelve year old son could be seen lighting one up waiting for his mother to finish business. I don't think I will be making the end of the year youth corps field trip.
Yesterday, I needed to get out of the house, so I kidnapped Kris, Kim, and Jenny, loaded them up in my mom's Aztec, and headed to my favorite little big city, Port Charlotte. There, we bought movie tickets, ate at Ruby Tuesdays, and walked around the entire freaking mall because they locked us in the Ruby Tuesdays, and then watched Batman Begins. We had all seen the movie before. It isn't as good the second time. Katie Holmes moves her head like one of those dashboard hulla dancers everytime she talks. Christian Bale has to move his lower jaw in a very animated way because he possesses no upperlip to speak of. Also, a few plot holes. Why does everyone throw the sensative issue of Bruce Wayne's father in his face? "Your father wouldn't have said that," "Your father would've let me have the last slice of pizza." WTF? Also, Katie Holmes and Batman/Bruce Wayne only speak to eachother for three brief moments throughout their adult lives, and yet they have developed a full relationship by the end of the movie. This insults my intelegence!
Speaking of intelegence, ACT scores are in. I got a composite score of 27. Not what I was hoping for, but I need to retake it with the writing anyways. My older sister, a senior in highschool, made a 23. I made a 27. IN YOUR FACE, HAIRYANNE.
At the moment, I'm bored out of my mind waiting for six o'clock. That's when I told Kris, Kim, Jenny, and Ruben to come over for some July 4th Eve celebrating. Since I've never seen it, we're all watching SW: Episode 2 and then some Family Guy dvds. Totally the shiz ; ].
Your dirty little secret,
~le Shane~
