Wow, I definitely need to update this thing...
I hope everyone is doing well, for me it's hard to think that we've passed the half-way point in the semester already, as I'm still getting used to everything. I find it funny how we all have to make a 'career choice' upon arrival at college... I think at trinity the closest I came to making a career choice was fucking around in the college room during free periods, and/or making fun of Ian...
I think everyone should be required to take a music appreciation, or a music analysis class. Over the last 500 years there has been so much incredible music composed, and no one knows anything about it. I was looking at the Billboard top 200 list the other day, and it's sad how the most popular music now-a-days is lame country, rap, pop bullshit like Hillary Duff, and revival meddley albums like that new Ray Charles piece of shit. Everyone in the world listens to music so much during their lives, in fact, many people claim that music directly affects their emotions/way of life, etc. This would lead someone to believe that musicians would be in considerable demand, YET, the fact that no one has any exposure to great music leads society into an endless spiral of Ushers, Korns, Jessica Simpsons, and George Straits.
Rachel - your new icon is mad hot, ;)
Andy - why the hell am I listening to so much Radiohead... k-k-k-kid A
Kate - (I dunno if you check this) but how the hell is NY?!?!?!
And for anyone else who per-chance reads this post; keep rockin' in the free world, vote Ricky Martin for pres, always wear sun-screen, eat your broccoli, perform random acts of kindness, and practice safe... living.
And I'm spent,
Shane
