I just went to Mexico. I'll be blogging about it over the next few days. Some of these will be from my notebook, the rest from memory, all will have pictures or illustrations. Some will be on
Myspace, others on here.
From my notebook:
"Fuck-Graph paper. I had no warning, not until I opened the book at the back of the plane next to the man talking about trains. He has a book about model trains and he explains them to the boy looking out the window blocked by the engine which is so loud I can hardly hear the stewardess as she explains our ultimate demise. The engine drowns out the family behind me, they bought the whole section, for four boys and twin babies who just woke up.
I don't like graph paper, but it could be worse. It could be blank. Blank pages scare me. They have no order or sense of conviction. They start blank and, in my book, remain blank.
We're taking off now.
The fog is amazing, it makes Indiana look like a pillowy paradise, but we all know it's Indiana."
