I'm really really bad at writing in this now. I apologize to anyone who is consequently left out. Just hasn't seemed as much a natural outlet for me as it once did.
Anyways... my life in a nutshell...
I got accepted to Rice, UT, and UH. I have chosen to attend UT. The program is taught on alternate weekends at the Houstonian hotel here in Houston. I start late August and I'm completely psyched.
I totalled my car. The Friday of Super Regionals. (I measure my life by Rice baseball, apparently.) My fault, no real fancy story. Accidentally ran a red light on my drive to Starbucks. Totalled my car and the other car (although it was a '97 Mercury Tracer - not much damage needed) but both I and the other driver were okay. Suprisingly okay, actually, never was even sore like I expected to be. No airbags deployed, I was able to back my car out of the intersection, but the car was impressively smushed. After much shopping and worrying, I'm the proud owner of a 2007 Nissan Altima. 4 cylinder, leather interior, Bose stereo, auxiliary input, Bluetooth, fun. I apparently also only like very hard to find cars. I had to drive to Round Rock to buy one of the only 2 in the entire state (or Louisiana for that matter). Sheesh.
I have a new position at work. I play with trains.
I attended my 10yr high school reunion. Was slightly surreal, but mostly nice. Felt nice to realize that I had absolutely no apprehension about attending. I very much like who I am now and what I've done.
I saw Erasure and Dresden Dolls in concert. My list is getting closer to being complete.
