Work is having a "bake-off" for Halloween, so tonight was spent making Buckeye cookies. I was reading the shortening container, which contained such dire warnings as "Don't Overheat", "Flammable" and "if you don't want to die, watch the damn pot". Naturally, I'm imagining the worst - house goes up in flames, kitty goes into a diabetic coma before actually burning to death, and I lose my precious Buffy stuff and have to miss the end of Cowboy Bepop.
So it was a bit disappointing to not see a single flame.
