Well, on the plus side, I was, I think, one of the very last cars through the Ft McHenry tunnel. They were closing lanes right-to-left at the toll plaza, and all traffic to my right was stopped, and the truck behind me got stopped.
Is it a good thing that I got through, or a bad thing that I drove through (though I didn't know it at the time) a Terrorist Threat?
Either way, I got to Virginia with time to spare. Not that it really matters, because my hotel room here has no windows. Seriously. It's the inside corner, and it's a mini-room with a shower (no bath) and a single-sized bed (A far cry from the King I reserved, I should think). Also, the walls are bloody thin and there's some group of high-schoolers on this floor who apparently don't have to get up any time soon.
So, that's four hours of sleep for me, for a 24-hour wake period coming up with meetings, driving, and dinner appointments.
On the plus side, I can't tell if it's light or dark outside, so it's not like I have light pollution from DC to worry about. I also have no sense of time, though, so.. yay. I suppose I should go check out of this hotel. Tonight's hotel should be interesting, too. I can't wait to see what I get.
This weekend is sure going to be interesting..
