Veikkausliiga is finished for 2008
Tampere United lost their last match against MyPa 0-2. The first goal was probably the most anticlimactic thing I've ever seen, people were still talking to each other a lot and only half-concentrating on the game as it was in the very beginning. Oh well, twas a nice season. Thank god it's over XDD
Inter won the league and Tampere United finished mid-table in seventh place.
Me, Suvi and Sanna went to the pub Ukko Nooa after the match because it's frequented by TamU players after home fixtures. I was wearing the TamU shirt signed by Petrescu and Kujala, and I'd have liked Kaven, our captain, to sign it but well, I was too much of a chicken to ask him in the short while he was there before he left, apparently the team had a sauna night or something to celeberate the end of the season (to tell you the truh I was pretty much thinking 'when I've finished this drink I'll go and ask him', but that wasn't on time... I guess it's true what they say about acting immediately so you can't chicken out of something). There's always next season! Which, btw, is going to be glorious, prosperous, though not very European unfortunately, and triumphant :D
We talked to Chris James a bit and Suvi and Sanna asked him to sign the -uhh.. season review, would you say?- for them and he was soooo adorable. When he left he said "Have a nice night, don't drink too much. See you!" LMAO Don't drink too much... was that his first thought then, that we would? xD
I will so start going to Ukko Nooa next season. And I still need Kaven's autograph on the back of the shirt.
Also, I have a new aim in life: to become Chris James' personal translator.
