I haven't written in a while so I will try to sum up the past week in as few words as possible. I went home last Tues...skipped a few classes to enjoy some time in my hometown.
~Wed~ My family and I went to Bonefish Grill for Dine Out for America night. It was so good, and I saw ReRe which was a pleasant surprise. Then I went to my bro's football game...he did really well and they won!
~Thurs~ Mom and I spent all day in the kitchen. She taught me how to make a Thanksgiving meal. I made a Turkey, stuffing, sweet potato casserole (my fav!), and corn bread pudding. Well, the turkey and stuffing were delish...the other two looked great, but they tasted like chemicals. It turns out the butter used had gone rancid so there went my meal and leftovers. :(
~Fri~ I got new tires on my SUV bc I had a flat, did a little shopping, then it was Homecoming time. There weren't as many people there as I had hoped, but it was still nice seeing those who were. Kearn's car broke down on I75 so I had to go pick her up. We met the girls at Chili's, spent the night riding around town, talking, and listening to Kenny Chesney. So nice to have just a night like that again!
~Sat~ Kearn and I only left my house once Sat to go to the grocery store for ingredients for desserts we were making. Other than that, we lounged around doing absolutely nothing. That night, my family from Arizona and grandparents and everyone had dinner at the house. Kearn and I made 2 desserts: Apple Crisp and Banana's Foster Bread Pudding. HMM HMM GOOD! Then her and I went on a midnight walk around the neighborhood to catch up and just talk like the good ol' days...I love that!
~Sun~ Game Day! I stayed around for the lil Bronco Party we had. They Won!! Then I left to come home, but poor Kearn had to stay with my fam waiting to get her car fixed til Mon. It was so nice to be back again and a little hard to leave. But I'll be back before they know it.
My cousin from Colorado called and asked me if I would be the godmother of her new little baby boy. I was so touched that I cried. My cousin and I are very close so it meant so much to me. So now it looks like I am heading out to Colorado over Christmas break. And he is my second godson! Then I got a call at 6:26 this morning from my grandpa. He said, "Shannon, you have a new cousin." I was half asleep but I got sooo excited. Little Julien Alexander was born at 6:19am...he was actually big, 8lbs 12oz. So now I have him to look forward to next time I come home!
Although I have had some really good news that past few days, Danielle has not. I just want to let you know I love you and am praying for you!
I miss everyone from home, friends and fam...but I will see you all soon again I'm sure! Love you lots!
