One after another
Wow, its been a wild week for me.
Sunday: My mom came home from vegas/china after being gone for 5 weeks. That was a little too long for my liking. So that was great. Its just nice having someone home to call all the stupid banks and stuff and deal with the money. I never did like doing that.
Monday: My mom and I went looking for apartments. I figured we'd just look and not find anything that i liked and she liked (aka the price) but we did!!! So i got a new apartment! For anyone who knows Mt Park area, its the apartments that are basically in the Mt. Park Rec Center Parking lot. Its a very cute one bedroom, one 'den' (that will be my art room) with a huge patio and more storage then i know what to do with. Plus i'm walking distance from a gym (if you can still call the rec center a gym with no pool *sad face*) so when i'm bored, i'll work out! Brian and I were looking at gym memberships anyways so that worked out great! Oh, and the kicker... they let me paint the walls. I have lived in white walled rooms all my life. When i painted my room @ my moms house, i painted it white. It use to be a pale yellow but i don't really remember that so it doesn't count. So i've got the bathroom all planned out. It'll take alot of tape but it'll be amazing. And my Bro is going to help me with my bedroom. If anyones been to Acacia @ OSU and go into the color rooms, shaun did all those so you know hes good. And then in the living room i'm just going to do a main red accent wall. Well, like burgundy. Its going to be so artsie and so me and so wonderful. I can't wait.
Tuesday: My mom surprised me with an early birthday gift. An Apple MacBook Pro. Its amazing. I've been saving for an apple for about 3 years now so i was about 1/2 way there so she paid for 1/2 and then the protection plan and then a few other things i needed. It was a big investment but in my field, i dunno how i've been getting buy all this time without one. It is something i truly needed for school/life so i understand why she got it for me. She sees it as a 'tool' but i think of it as a 'toy.' Thats good right? lol
When i got my first ipod, i named it Pippin. Its a name of an apple. Then it broke and i saved and saved and got another one and named it Rome. Another kind of apple. I hope you're seeing a pattern here... So now i have to name this baby. I've narrowed it down to 5 names. All varieties of apples because i like naming my apples after apples. So, you're input would be wonderful!
1) Fuji (classic but is it too classic?)
2) Jonagold (i'm pretty sure i'm saying it wrong 'jon-a-gold' but it sounds cool)
3) Ida Red (fuji and this one are october apples... got the laptop in oct... hmmm)
4) Fortune (coz it cost a fortune! haha)
5) Melrose (my favorite and biggest apples)
I am eating by far the best potatoes i have ever had. They are amazing. All buttery and Herb-ie? Yum Yum! And isis is asleep on my favorite chair! Oh, and the new Michelin Tires commercial with the little dog... SO CUTE! Brian and i are looking for dogs because my apt allows them. Well, under 40 lbs. But we want our first dog to be med. sized. Any suggestions? We want female, loyal, blah blah blah so yeah. let me know
