A new poem!!
I have a new poem and I would like to get some comments on it because I would like to read it at poetry club next Wed.
So here goes.
Stopped up Love
My mother hung grapes on the wall
Grapes are made into wine
Wine belongs in the cellar
But it always glints in her glass
Glasses belong in the cabinet
Cabinets should always be closed
Her cabinets are always open
Glasses strewn about our house
Mothers should be loving
Loving is supposed to be warm and caring
My mother is hateful
Her hate is cold and angry
Death leads to grieving
Accepting but never letting go
She hasn't grieved at all
Bottling all feeling inside
Bottles can hold anything
Anything can be everything
Her bottle is full of worry
Sadness, brimming with tears
But, she is empty
Because it holds all of her love.
