Potential scam alert

Ok, I got a strange call from a local area code (0)2920 earlier today at work (possibly Cardiff?). The caller asked about whether I was related to a "Leslie MacMillan", as the church's line is registered in the old minister's name - N MacMillan. It was a foreign voice - possibly Asian sub-continental? - who said he "had an old number and was trying to reach an old friend". I explained it was a church and that the name it was under had nothing to do with the actual premises.
Just want to alert folk in case they get any similar calls - just ignore them and presume it is a scam.
Also, I've had this one try a few times. If they ask for you, just tell them you run a Mac and thus COULDN'T have been alerted. Well, if you run a Mac, at least. :-)
