So tonight is the aftermath of the Open Day at church. I'm exhausted, but pleased.
The best thing? Getting everyone involved with the day. There were loads of people who came through on the day and, I would say, made it a success.
The second best thing? Meeting people who had never been through the door of the church before, making them feel as comfortable as we could, hopefully we didn't scare anyone!
The third best thing? Sarah Cumming's tomato soup. She put pesto into it - it smelled incredible!!!
Low point? Spilling a steaming hot mug of soup onto a community warden. That was a bad move. Really bad move. Sorry, Brian.....
I have watched X-Factor, done the dutiful daughter thing and phoned Mom, and am now going to bed. I'm freezing and trying to figure out the best way to get warm.
And loving my fish. I have very few simple pleasures and they are one. Everyone should get fish.
. . . . . . . .
But now I want a frog.
Oh, wow. I've just discovered I have a bizarre little lump under my chin. If I was still living with Karen, we would be conjecturing what kind of cancer it was. But I don't live with her anymore, so I'll just have to retrace my steps and figure out what I hit my chin on....
fishy fishy,
flat life,
weirdness,
free church
