I'm going HOME!
For the first time in nearly three years, I will be in the Seattle area. I found a super-cheap flight and couldn't resist. I haven't TECHNICALLY booked yet, though....so the rug could be pulled out from under me very easily... But I refuse to admit this or fear this. I just hope that the paternal or step-maternal would get in touch ASAP to confirm that the dates and times are ok.
I'm still planning on taking a sweep across country at Easter - Boston for three days, then a week in Seattle, using the joy that is frequent flier miles - but I felt the need to really just get out there and GO HOME. I really miss my family, sometimes. I know I try to pretend that I don't, but it doesn't really work...I just don't want to broadcast that I am, in actual fact, a weak and lonely child far from home. Instead, I project a demeanor of calm, put-together and completely sane womanliness. Well, at least I TRY to do the latter... I'm pretty sure most people see right through me.
But today, I don't care. I'm COMING HOME!
