today's realizations:
1. I love living alone.
1a. I can walk around naked.
1b. I can crank music.
1c. I can make a mess and clean it right up.
2. Shiraz and cheddar (I know probably not a wine connoisseur's combo) make a delicious dinner, rounded out by organic banana chips.
3. Massages for $8 (after insurance pays like 90%) is one reason I heart Canada and Canadian health insurance.
4. I am leaving for Costa Rica in 18 days!
5. My bed is calling. Getting up for work at 7 a.m. is the bane of my existence but at least I'm productive and making money. Except right now the Communications Assistant is sick and the Communications Director is on holiday, so me, the lowly Writer/Research Assistant, am phoning politicians and emailing steering committees in an effort to get this bylaw passed in all 13 of the Capital Regional District's municipalities (read: all the towns and areas around Victoria). Ahh! Bedtime :)
