oops.

Ok, Ok. I hear the chorus of boos. But honestly, I've meant to update for about 3 weeks now, but I have not had the time. In the past few weeks I've been all around Greece. First we went to the Argolid on the Peloponnese, then after that I went with just 3 others up to Thessaloníki in northern Greece, and Saturday I just got back from a 5-day field trip to the rest of the Peloponnese including Sparta, Megalopolis, Messene, and Olympia. And in the time between all this I have had 3 papers due, that I must finish when I'm not in class (which goes from either 9-7 or 11-5), and still have time to do basic chores that take 37 times longer than in the US (aka laundry, grocery shopping, etc.). I find time to update facebook photos because I feel like that's also a good way to communicate what I'm doing over here. Nevertheless, I should write here more, and I apologize to my fans for not doing so. I have not been eaten by a Greek stray cat; I've just been busy.

And now I don't really know what to write about because so much has happened. I can tell you a funny thing about Greece and Jeep Grand Cherokees. You see, in Athens, the roads are pretty damn small, no thanks to crazy parking on both sides of the road, so big cars just don't fit in. These Jeep Grand Cherokees are really expensive, they can run up to the equivalent of $100,000! Plus, owners have to pay some sort of road tax for having such a big vehicle, not to mention gas prices. So over here, Jeep Grand Cherokee owners are some hot shit, which I think is funny because I always thought they were pretty lame. Oh, cultural differences...

Hopefully that will hold you for a while until something really spectacular happens and I have time to write about it. I have a test and a paper due this week, but after that we have spring break and I'm going to Switzerland for a few days to bask in the snow for a change. If anyone has been there and wants to suggest transportation or lodging I could use, I would like to hear about it. Ok, till next time.
