swingers do it on the wood...
so the last two nights were my very first performances at penn! it was a show with both the west philly swingers and the latin dance group onda latina called "a west philly story"...playing off of west side story...
anyway, we held the show in the zellerbach theatre, where i've been going to see performing arts groups for the past 5 years. to actually be the one performing in the theatre was amazing. everyone in both dance groups is so talented and fun - all in all it was just a good experience, with many more to come.
afterwards we held a massive dance after-party, also so much fun! the swingers were holding their own party, so i was there most of the time but went over to the onda latina party for a little bit. apparently the neighbors complained about the music however, so the police came and kicked everyone out. so, we all just headed back to the swinger party..hehe..and danced some more. lots more.
doing this show makes me want to join every dance group, just to meet more awesome people and have a good time dancing. i really really love it. now that the show is over though, i no longer have an excuse to put off all of my work and studying. finals! eep! but that means christmas break is only a couple of weeks away... i decided to take a job in admissions here over winter break, and i'm not quite sure if i will regret it or not. i have to come downtown for 8 weekdays after christmas and process applications - which could either be fun or mind-numbingly boring. but, i need the money regardless, and it will keep me occupied.
alright. off for some lunch and then the studying begins!
