Geraldine Hughes discusses her book on Amazon's forums
So, as I was cruising Amaoin for MJ stuff (cause my birthday's next week, yo), I found this discussion going on. Apparently Ms. Hughes herself is responding to people talking about her book, which is cool. Some of the stuff she said:
"I did have the complete support of Michael Jackson (who gave me permission to use his beautiful photo on the book cover), Michael Jackson's family (I did interviews with Jermaine Jackson, press conferences with Joe Jackson), and one press conference was given just to advise the world that I had the complete support of the Jackson family."
"After the trial and MJ's exoneration on all counts until now, me and Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, have been trying to make Redemption into a movie so that the world could learn the truth. Michael's father's only motive in assisting my efforts was so that 'we could clear Michael Jackson's name.'"
"I was told that Michael Jackson read my book and was quite pleased with it. When everyone was gagged from speaking in the media on Michael's behalf during the 2005 trial, I was the only one, besides Messearu(sp), that was allowed to continue speaking in the media on Michael's behalf."
"I am in the process of seeking a budget to do a 90-minute documentary of Redemtion. In that documentary, I am working on getting a confession from Jordy Chandler. I met him in my law office and he was a really neat 13 year old kid. From reports that he has been estranged from his parents (the ones that put him up to this) and DID NOT SHOW UP TO TESTIFY AT TRIAL, leads me to believe all the reports about his position. I was desperately waiting to see if they were going to subpoena him at trial and knew if they did, he would have confessed in the witness stand. I think that is the reason why Sneddon did not subpoena him. He knew what he would say."
