So I'm sick in bed right now and I'm desperately trying to procrastinate from doing my summer reading project, so I was wondering two things:
1) Has anyone here ever met Michael? If not, have your parents or someone you know ever met him? How did it happen?
2) What are some MJ experiences you've encountered since his passing? Or even before? I love

my friend's mom met Michael at a pool when they were teenagers(she's a year younger than him). somewhere between 1974 and 1076, i think. she said she was really nice and she got an autograph, which she can't find now, to our horror. even the dogs looked horrified when she told us she can't find it now.
about a week and a half ago we were at my aunt's house. i played some Jackson 5 in the bathroom while i was taking a shower and my aunt heard it. when i came downstairs she told us about how much she loved Michael as a teenager in the early 70s, and how their songs reminded her of how free she felt then because so many of them were popular around the age she got her driver's license. she just told us how much she loved him from the start and all that stuff, and said she was sad we only knew "weird" Michael. it sounded like it was pretty amazing to love him when he was just a kid.
but i told her even though we only knew "weird" Michael we still loved him a lot, and that i thought there was something about being a kid that made him not weird. like, you just didn't notice the skin color and the nose and how odd having a petting zoo and rides in your backyard was. i didn't start thinking of Michael as anyone but this amazing, tall, talented man until people started telling me he was weird. i was watching the making of "In the Closet" and it reminded me the kind of person i saw him as as a child: strong, talented, intelligent.. i can't even really explain it. i really looked up to him as a kid. i wish i hadn't forgotten that until now.
