Ringtones!

Jul 03, 2009 21:29

Hi bbs! So I was inspired by neon_ultra's post and I remembered how much I LOVE making ringtones. I'm going to be editing this post probably through the night as I make more because I'm still feeling too sad and antisocial to do anything fun this weekend. Thank God for you bbs. ♥

I'll probably just do all of my favorite songs first, but if you have requests feel free to interrupt me! I'll try to do a lot of others as well, just let me know. These are fun to me because I just get to mess around and listen to Michael.

Again, I'll be continuously editing these for the next probably few hours or so. I'll keep them in alphabetical order for ease of navigation. Skip to the bottom to see how to download them. :)

The Way You Make Me Feel

Okay, so, if you can receive media messages (pictures and such), you can receive these ringtones by emailing them to your phone.

If you are on Verizon, your phone's "email address" (it will be received as a text message and will not be on the Internet or anything; it is just a regular messaging fee so if your plan includes texting, there's no charge at all) is your number here@vzwpix.com

T-Mobile: yournumber@tmomail.net
Virgin Mobile: phonenumber@vmobl.com
Cingular: phonenumber@cingularme.com
Sprint: yournumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
AT&T: phonenumber@txt.att.net
Nextel: yournumber@messaging.nextel.com
Cricket: phonenumber@sms.mycricket.com

If you are not on any of these carriers, try sending a text message to your regular email address. Instead of putting a number in your "to" box, just put in your email address! The email you will receive should have your phone's email address in the "from" box, so this is how you can discover it! Easy, right?

Okay, so sometimes there is a delay in receiving it. Give it five minutes or so, and check your email for error messages.

Once you've received the file in a text message, open the message. Yes, that's your ringtone playing, bbs! Now, different phones have different was of saving them, but essentially, there should be some sort of button to get the options for that open text (mine is a button on the right side that says "options," crazily enough) and then you should see something to the tune of either "save sound" or "save as ringtone."

That's it! Go set it as your default and moonwalk every time your phone rings.

Enjoy, and feel free to make requests. They should be no longer than 22 or 23 seconds ish. Or at least that's how long my ringtones usually can last on my phone model. I can also do little text tones. Let me know. :)
