Greetings From Florida!!!!
hi everyone! I just wanted to let all of you know that I got here safe AFTER the whole trying to find a ride fiasco. but my unlce brought me to the airport and I boarded my flight just fine. anywho , I wil be working at Disney's Animal Kingdom in DinoLand at Dino rama!! yay! my fist days here consisted of Arriving and doing all the paperwork and walking around Vista Way, which is where i am staying. ( btw, I will post the address to the apartment at the end of the post) the second day, I officially found out where I was working (although the guy told me i was in animal kingdom the day before.) So that was the end of day two. Day three was traditions and thank the elder and high and mighty for Kim she and I had went to the Florida Mall the day before and spent five hours there and she had gotten me some shoes!!! so a big thanks goes out to her ( and Laurie for picking me up form the airport on day one. Thanks Laurs!!) anywho, i went to the wrong session of traditions. i went at 7am instead of the noon tradions, but they let me stay and I am thankful. Tradions is when they give you the overveiw of the program and how cast members are to act and such. so that was fun. also i met a couple of new aquaintences Samantha and Evita. they are such sweet people. So the three of us went to Magic Kingdom and for some odd reason my park ID had not been reset from my first College Program. he was like " the ladt day you were here was February 22nd of 2004" and I replied the day I left was January 5th of 2004. " so i found out later that the pass is still good up to a month after your program ends , so I guess that would explain it. but anyway, we rode space mountain twice, saw the new Disney's Dream come true parade, went into the haunted mansion and pirates of the carribean and saw Jack Sparrow and the Black Pearl ( the new rennovations they made to the ride) we went on the Buzz Light year arcade ride and rode the the Stitch's escape ride ( this is the ride that took over for Alien Encounter which was even better) we took a picture with pluto and I gave him a kiss ( hey he is one of my favorite Disney Characters, ok? LOL!) we had Mickey ice creams and rounded out the day by seeing Philharmagic and watching the Spectro Magic parade and Wishes, the fireworks display, then we came back to Vista Way (Evita lives in Chatham Square, so we bade here goodbye a bit earlier) Day four was DAKlimation, so we were told al about animal kingdom and did a few activities ( wich yours truly got a little Mickey figurine and a wild about safety pin for answering two questions right) then we walked through animal kingdom and and rode Kilamanjaro Safari and saw all of the animals, which was pretty amazing to see. then we went back to the room and talked a bit more and went to Pride rock ( the cast member cafeteria) and afterwards we wnt to costuming and tried on our costumes, dino rama costumes came be summed up in one word....LOUD!!! its so bright and colorful that you could pick me out in the dark!!!! so that brings me to today and i am going to hop the bus to walmart and buy a few things. right now I am in the learning center killing time until the bus for walmart gets here. but I hope to epcot today if possible. so I have having a blast!!!! my first day of training is on sunday at seven and I can't wait to get started! see you all later! oh and as promised, here is my address:
