so at the end of March I decided to become a Vegan. full out, no cheating, up your face Vegan. so far, so good. only took a week off and ate some cheese in Switzerland about two weeks into it, but I promised I'd never be ridiculously high maintenance about it and you eat cheese when you're in Switzerland, enough said. anyway, aside from cutting out all meat, fish, dairy, and eggs, I nixed caffeine, coffee, and all processed foods. i'm going about 90% organic and basically won't eat anything with high fructose corn syrup or with any ingredient i can't read. all of this was sparked by a combination of reading excerts from Skinny Bitch right after my Puerto Rico trip and the fact that I'm 24 and need to get my act together. you only get one body, one life, and i plan on treating my body as well as i possibly can for the sake of my well being and for the sake of the children i hope to have one day. people at the studio are fully supportive of it and often give me little gifts like vegan mints and organic teas. pretty sweet.
fob is in full swing and summer 08 has just begun. the connection of the fob girls and the whole fob family is exactly how it should be. very little drama, lots of love and support. it's just like old times and i couldn't be happier. the show is intense - much more choreography and vocal work than previous years and the bar has certainly been raised. everybody worked their butt off this season. last night was opening night at curtis and they brought the house down. we had a great audience and it was so good to have support from past fob kids. we also raised $2000 for Children's Hospital, and we will be making the donation in Tyler's name at our show there in a few weeks. the annual scooperbowl concert is coming up - i'm so pumped. that's always like the start of my summer tan (: not to mention it's such a great cause.
anywho, life these days consists of driving, being at the shop, planning workshops, rehearsing, and the occasional rendezvous when i get the chance. had a fab weekend with the ho's on memorial day (much needed social time with my favorite girls). life is good!
