Fanmix: A Sorry Ending EP (Jordan/Lu).
This post contains Crossing Jordan spoilers through "33 Bullets" (06x03). You've been warned.
I really felt I needed to preface the mix, so I did, despite the fact it's after 6 AM, I've been up all night, and I'm rather exhausted. Thus, don't blame me if it doesn't make a great deal of sense; the later it gets, the worse my writing seems to fare.
This fanmix has been rolling around in my head since "33 Bullets" aired. I used to be a die-hard Jordan/Woody fan, but I've been really angry with him for a long time now and I've actually gotten to the point where I can't even remember why I ever wanted them together to begin with. In short, I no longer feel he's worthy of my beloved Jordan. That aside, there's still a tiny part of me that's holding on to that ship, although I honestly don't know why.
Anyway, I've loved Leslie Bibb since Popular, so I was ecstatic when she joined the cast of another of my all-time favorite shows. I'd been tossing around the idea of J/L since the infamous kiss in "Mysterious Ways" and I had gotten extremely attached to them by 06x03. Needless to say, I was crushed (not to mention shocked; I was resigned to the fact that it'd be Lily!) when they killed off Lu. J/L had more chemistry in "Shattered" and "33B" than Woody and Lu had the entire time they were dating, in my opinion.
All songs are, obviously, from Jordan's point of view during their final scene and beyond. My next project is another J/L famix with songs from Lu's POV.
The title comes from the final song on the mix, Rachel Ries' "And For This", and is incredibly appropriate given the circumstances.
