Many thanks to friend Turqois for alerting me to this site,
Oxfam America Unwrapped. Some of you will be getting livestock for Christmas this year--I trust that's okay. I am almost dismayed to see how reasonably-priced a lot of this stuff is. "Dismayed" in that "Why haven't I done this before?" kind of way. I do want to see if it's possible to get stuff off the
UK main site even from the U.S., because the "Train a Teacher" gift would be great for my son's teacher. No more apple candles, you know?
Hopefully this isn't coming across as unbearably snooty and do-gooder; that's not the intent. I'm just pretty excited about the alpaca.
In other news, the pneumonia is creeping back although we are combatting it with many things, including B-12 boosters for the (basically non-existent) immune system. *sigh*
I am astounded beyond belief that FU is mounting a production of The Busie-Body (you'll note that they modernized the spelling). Some of you crew, pleeeeease go see it and tell me ALL. Looks like their run closes right as ours begins. I'm having a reaction which is two-parts "Huzzah! More Centlivre on stage!" and "Heeeeyyyyyy...that's MY play..." about it, as you might imagine.
Back to bed.
