I just got back from a wonderful night of breaking the law. Ok no not quite. haha. Me and Lauren ventured out to King's College to try to get into the sold out Arcade Fire show and actually managed to sneak into the union via a fire exit hidden in an alleyway behind the union building..haha..so after sneaking around fire stairways for about an hour and trying to bypass security people with scary walkie talkie thingys, we managed to get into the venue on the 4th floor, and now we can say that we know that union inside out! haha.
But Arcade Fire? HOLY FUCK. So good. Almost as good as Muder By Death, in the same instrumental way, only less dark and gloomy and more peppy and danceable. I'm so glad I let Lauren drag me out there for it = ) The opening act, however...no words...went by the name "Kid Carpenter" and umm...it was bad, I won't even attempt to describe.
