adventures

i just signed up for my courses for next year, and did some math about my financial situation, and came to some conclusions:

1) if i move out april 1st next year, i only have 6 months of rent to worry about because the last month is already paid. also, i'm probably going to get some office shifts at the community center next year which means i can work more hours since i can do homework while i'm in the office. this all adds up to having at least a couple thousand dollars left over at the end of the year and more if try really hard to save.

2) i will be 22 and a university graduate by the end of the next school year.

3) the career paths i'm considering all involve a lot of years of really hard work and a lot more school, and therefore...

4) the time i have left to take time for myself and enjoy my youth is very, very short.

so, i want to do some travelling next summer, starting in april whenever my exams are over, until at least the end of june or maybe even the whole four and a half month long summer. if i have to go into some debt to accomplish this, that's ok. i would fully want to do it budget backpacking-styles, so i spend as much money on seeing as many places as possible and having fun and as little on the necessities of life as possible.

i think that what i would want to do would be fly to somewhere in europe, then get around by train to other parts of the continent. i also really want to see asian countries like thailand and japan. this is obviously flexible.

but, the idea of doing this by myself is a little overwhelming.

luckily, i have a lot of friends who are more or less at liberty to take a vacation from their lives for a few months.

so... if you would be interested in coming with me on a long adventure, let me know. i'm really serious about this. but i also really don't think i want to go by myself. it would just be too much to handle and if something happened to me i would want someone to be there to help me. and, can you even imagine how much fun it would be if a whole bunch of people went all together?
