It's nearing the end of summer.
I've moved house but never live there.
I have been working on books constantly. The bookmaking is beginning to work out: I'm finally happy with the books I'm making, I'm selling at more stores, and my online store is doing wonderfully.
I'm making terribly huge plans: mostly they involve applying to Concordia for a MFA in Creative Writing, or NSCAD for a Printmaking Diploma. Both of these options involve a long-distance move. I'm hoping Concordia for next fall, NSCAD for the following year.
I did a zine making workshop recently which went amazingly, mostly because it turned into a collage-party, filled with creative and wonderful people. Everyone made pamphlet-bound mini-books, collaged their mini-books, and made covers for the next issue of Heirloom.
Coming up:
SoMM One Year Anniversary Party! Saturday August 18th @ Jane Bond! Readings, performances, over-fun!
Stitch N Kitsch Fall Show and Sale! Saturday September 22nd (aka my 24th birthday!) @ United Church! Arts, Crafts, Amazing.
DIY Not? Waterloo County Zine Fair! Saturday October 20th @ Starlight! All day! Zine library, Workshops, Vendors, night-time Concert!
And much more is coming up soon! Too exciting.
I'm also planning a spelunking trip for early next week.
Love Amy.
