SOUL FIRE INSIDE!
This Saturday, March 11, is the One year Birthday celebration for Soul Fire Inside. Bright Hawk will be in town to teach a drum class in the afternoon as well as be a part of the circle Saturday night!
I will unfortunately be out of town this weekend. I look forward to attending in April.
Please consider experiencing this wonderful magical/alchemical-like drum, dance and song and meet some amazing people and leaders from the drum and fire family.
The celebration is an open house and the circle proper starts at 8pm at the Seekers Church in Takoma Park, DC. It is right across from the Takoma Park Metro station.

Greetings playmates, teachers, discoverers, and new friends!
We invite you to join us for our next extraordinary experiment in the
beauty and mystery
of the Magic of the Fire Circle. Dive into three all
night adventures organized around a
conscious progression of ecstatic experience and the Alchemical
Techniques of Symbol,
Rhythm, Movement and Song.
This will be our second annual gathering at beautiful Four Quarters
Farm, in Artemas, PA.
We are raising the temperature, rarifying the mixture, and taking the
fire higher. Bring
your mojo and your meta-sun and help us co-create a unified four day
alchemical ritual of
ecstatic transformation.
We're setting our compass towards greater levels of refinement within
the laboratory of
the fire circle, both musically and magically. We intend to further
deepen our
understanding of Alchemy, and consciously bring the group through the
seven stages of
the process. These alchemical operations will shape the overall event
this year, and will be
outlined on the 4QF website in the weeks before Fires Rising. This will
enable us all to
conspire, receive, and bestow nightly offerings of sacred art, ritual,
word, and song that
magnify the related alchemical phases.
In addition, we will be revealing a powerful collaborative method for
music making that is
designed to guide individual musicians towards direct engagement with
each other,
service to the circle as a whole, and conscious identification with
the alchemical
implications of their own artistic process. Our play together will
include the five
agreements from last year, as well as a number of new musical
structures. There will also
be a series of required workshops for all drummers or percussionists
who wish to
participate in the Musical Magic of our nightly journeys.
Together, we will be working to balance structure and freedom in a
medicinal brew of
carefully measured, sensitively timed, reagents. There will be portions
of the process that
are completely open and uncontrolled, and other portions that are
meticulously calibrated.
The resulting solution will be an extraordinary experiment in
producing, inviting, and
celebrating the mysteries of transformation. We would *love* to have
you come and
participate if you're interested in exploring and supporting this
unique new vision and
direction.
The experiment commences on Thursday afternoon June 1st and lasts
through Sunday
night, June 4th. Plan to arrive early on Thursday and stay until
Monday morning. The
rhythm of the process unfolds throughout the weekend.
