Episode reaction, under the cut:
Semi-coherent thoughts ahead!
1) CHUCK!!! ILU buddy, even with a molar in your hair! But Castiel, NOOO!!!
2) Dean, I love it when they let you be smart.
3) Fangirl. You crazy, *extremely* lucky fangirl. Jensen, Jared and Kripke, we aren't all that crazy. Just a (very) vocal minority. But that was one lucky girl...
4) Wait. Sam, you are an idiot who *never* learns. You're trusting something Ruby taught you. Ruby. Who shined you on and got you to break Lucifer out of his prison. YOU FAIL, AND YOU WILL NEVER LEARN. As evinced by the fact that demons showed up 5 minutes later!
5) That's not Bobby, you idjits!
6) NO!!!! BOBBY CAN NOT DIE!!! I REFUSE TO ENTERTAIN THIS THOUGHT!
7) Dean is the sword of Michael. Dean. Is the sword of Michael. Ummm. Holy shit.
8) Castiel! I really hope that it's God who brought you and the boys out of harms way. Who knows, maybe God couldn't come into play until Lucifer did. After all, He did give us free will. Also, I am glad that you came back in the super deluxe kick-ass version, because the boys are going to need you. Badly.
9) Zach, you really are a douche, and I can't wait 'til Dean puts you in your place. Hopefully, this will involve lots of pain on your part.
10) Did I mention that I loved having Meg back, however briefly?
11) I loved Castiel just automatically including Sam in the Enochian protection thingy.
12) You tell that Doctor, Bobby. Nobody keeps you down! Kick his ass! (and I love you, Bobby!)
13) I like Dean's plan. SO, it needs to be fleshed out a little. But still, good plan. GO TEAM DEAN!
14) That little dialog at the end really needed to be said, although I wish they (the writers) hadn't gotten into the habit of cramming all the angsty dialog into the last five minutes of the episode. It's a trope that was beaten to death last season, and I hope we don't have to deal with it all this season. Especially when it changes the entire tenor of the show. It's too much, packed into too little time.
15) I need to rewatch, but did it seem to anyone else that Sam seemed surprised when Dean said "I can't trust you". It hurt him, but I think he was expecting Dean to say something else.
16) Please to be letting Sammy find out about the *real* message Dean left, at the end of last season. Sam thinking that Dean thinks he's a monster is too hurty.
17) Is it only me, or is the thought of a reasonable, rational, calm, erudite Lucifer - extremely disturbing?
18) I love the new opening credit. I think it's the best so far.
