Write two letters: One to someone you hurt and the other to someone who hurt you.

When it comes to hurt, to the hurt and the hurting, there are only two letters of worth. Five words between them and, in the right place and the right time, they change the world. In the right place and the right time. But how often does that come along?

(And if you know how to look, you'll see the private army, you'll see the private war. Where others batter with blunt bombs, or creep inside like weeds, he cuts like a scalpel, cold and sharp and focused. A dangerous pragmatism. His cause is his own, his choice is his own, his consequences. It's not about right or necessity. It's about his will being the whole of the law. He'll never claim to be right. But he'll be better, if he can. He'll make everything better.)

There are only two letters of worth. One reads I'm sorry, the other I forgive you. Sometimes you get one. Sometimes you get the other. Sometimes, you get both. Mostly, you don't get either -- and he'd apologise for that too, if he could.
