[Open to everyone!]
Turn the right way down any street, glance down an unexpected alley, maybe you'll see it out of the corner of your eye. Maybe you'll catch a hint of the music drifting out of the invitingly open wooden doors. There's always something. It wants to be found, this in, this bar, this club, this pub, this restaurant. It has many

Oh, riiiight. He came with Lucas... who was around here somewhere.
They're friends, okay? Co workers. They're... friends!
It's not like this is a date. Because, um. They didn't do that!
Mark makes his way up to the bar, and orders a drink. There's a robot! And...
... It asks him for ID.
Mark pouts. "Well. I'll take a coke then."
Good thing he has special holiday cookies in his backpack!

"This place is fascinating," he states, then pops a baby carrot in his mouth

It did, really! Only not really, because, "They were holograms!"
Mark stands beside Lucas, bouncing on the balls of his feet a little. "Thanks for bringing me. And coming with me." Mark giggles. "I mean, thanks for coming with me and bringing me here too!"
Reply
His lips quirk at the corners, the best Lucas can do in terms of a smile. "You're welcome, Mark. Though you sort of brought me, I'd say. You've been here before after all. So thank you for bringing me."
Reply
He nods to himself, seriously. "Different hologram."
He looks back at Lucas and smiles widely. "Well, we're both thanful and we're both you're welcoming. Because, you're welcome!"

"Do you want to get food? It's good food. I wonder if it's made by the robots."
Reply
Mark says it very loudly, then claps his hands over his mouth, eyes wide.
He now says in a stage whisper, "There are robots here!"
Mark picks a ridiculous time to get nervous about the robots, because he already went up to the bar and tried to get a drink (deeeee-nied!) He stands up very straight and doesn't look at the - or, at least, he doesn't face them but he's glancing to the side.
"Lucas," he hisses. "They don't look evil, do they???"
Reply
"I would say that it depends on their programming. These robots seem to be pretty neutral. If they were programmed wrong they could probably be evil. But I don't think they are now." He pats Mark on the shoulder.
"But I'm not a robot expert," he adds helpfully.

Lucas totally mellowed Mark out on the robots.
"Food!" Mark says, pointing at the big buffet... which Lucas was just at, but whatevs. "I'm gonna grab some!"
Reply
"Food is good," Lucas states as the two walk over to the table. "Oh, speaking of which, did you have some of Eddie's brownies before you came here?"
That might explain the sudden worry about the robots.
Reply
"Weeeeell. Maybe just one. Not a lot!" Which is true. For Mark, that isn't a lot. "They won't serve me booze here!"
Which, hey. He didn't know then but it still happened.
Mark looks a little sheepish. "That's... okay, right? You're not mad?"
Reply
He snatches a cookie off Mark's plate. "Do you want a drink? I can get you one."
Reply
Yes, Mark is a little bit hard to follow sometimes, but he's glad that Lucas at least tries. It more then a lot of people do!
His eyes goes large and wide. "You'd do that for me? Really? BEER!" He realizes that he's quite loud and claps his hands to his mouth, but isn't afraid this time and just giggles. He stage whispers again, "Beer please!"
Reply
And now they're going back to the bar. Lucas leans on it with as much casualty as he can muster.
"Beer please," he says, and his voice is just a tad lower than it usually is, apparently trying to portray how cool he is.
The robot asks to see ID, and after Lucas shows it, asks for a specific kind. Lucas looks over his shoulder at Mark.
What kind? he mouths, but before Mark can answer he turns back to the robot and says, his voice now even lower, "Surprise me."

Lucas thanks the robot, and they both turn stiffly away, though Mark has to try very hard not go giggle, and they retreat away from the bar.
In a quiet yell, Mark exclaims happily, "Beer!" Lucas hands it to him, and Mark takes a sip. And then another.
Mark's face falls. "... I think it's non-alcoholic. What do those robots have against me, Lucas!?!"
