Monastc Life
I feel slightly weird about sharing this on livejournal, but I wanted to get some input from folks that have known me a while.
The pull to monastic life has been with me for a while now. I felt this put as an undegrad, but I never really took it seriously. At that point, I was drawn to Buddhist Monastic Life. I'm trying to figure out if life of community in a Trappist Monastery or an Episcopalian monastery might be something i am called to.
i am sorting my feelings of fear, and to see if this desire and pull is running away from something, or running to God and a life of intimacy with a community of brothers who consecrate their lives to God, and community. I would still finish seminary and then take time there as a spiritual guest to discern whether its a life i am called to.
