[ooc: Open to all. Mansion students may assume Mike brought them by Blackbird (and also that they were roped in to helping set things up). Magical transport was provided to anyone who needed it! As with all Mike arranged parties, Cassidy Keep is temporarily under Sanctuary wards, and no violence will be possible inside it. Do try not to stumble off the cliffs to your death.]
On the westernmost coast of county Mayo, Ireland, where the sharp black cliffs cut into the cold depths of the Atlantic, rises the thick stone edifice known as Cassidy Keep. Usually an old master of lurking ominously in the rising fog, tonight the ancient fortress is bedecked with torches and twinkling white fairy-lights. The waves crashing endlessly against the rocks below serve as counterpoint to the soft strains of music drifting from the blazing slits of the windows.
The main doors open onto a wide entrance hall, where buff men in bow-ties and pull-away pants wait to take your coats and presents and provide you with drinks as they lead the way up the main stairs to the ballroom. Balloons and bunting give the old wooden beams a festive air. Chairs and tables line the wall, while one end of the room has been converted into a raised stage and short catwalk. A large fire crackles heartily in the ballroom's massive hearth, driving the fresh autumn chill from the castle.
A live local band is currently playing on one corner of the stage, while artfully arranged spots, gels, and glitter-lights make merry on the dance-floor. The adjoining rooms on either side have also been temporarily cleared out and filled with tables for those who like to sit down with their food, or somewhere quieter to rest between dances. Food is piled high, including fresh caught Moy salmon, and a wide range of drinks have been provided, alcoholic and otherwise. People are welcome to serve themselves, though more of those scantily clad waiters move easily through the place, ready to take all orders.
(For food and drink, people. Stop smirking.)
A banner hanging above the stage wishes Jean-Paul, Jeanne-Marie, and Doug a Very Happy Birthday. The three in question are no doubt somewhere in here. Come in and wish them the same!
