John is actually trying to ignore the pesky mistletoe, he really is.

Unless he happens to be under it. With one of his boyfriends.

But, guess they'll see how that goes.

"Hey, you," John says, sidling up behind JP and wrapping an arm around his waist. "Looking hot."

"Creaks? Good god," John says, but he's grinning too. And it's probably best he doesn't know that, though he's likely to find out at some point, isn't he? That'll be... fun.

"I always lose you two," John says. "I have no idea why that is." He looks down at his clothes. "Hey I tried. Kinda."

He's wearing a pair of black pants (that JP made him buy once) and a tight, dark gray sweater (sweater, not hoodie) that, uh, JP also made him buy. Simple, but it was something more then usual.

Not a shock at all.

"She's not going to try to eat your heart," John reassures him. "I won't let her."

John's hand went to twine into Jean-Paul's hair, but he did roll his eyes.

"I am not burning her," John says. He has a policy against that sort of thing now. "And, just... don't worry about it. Ignore her or whatever, if you have to, okay?"

"Oh, right," John says, and his carefully takes his hand off JP's head, but it slides down and rests on the small of JP's back.

"Okay," John says, pulling away but only slightly. "Should we do what we did at your party? Get one good activity, uh, thing or whatever in? Because you got people to see, drinks to drink, all that good stuff." John pauses. "There's pool, and darts, and... uh. More stuff upstairs."

Karaoke on one level, dancing on another. Maybe JP doesn't know that.

"Then, you know, I'll stop occupying your time."

John bites back his comment about mistletoe hanging and boys to be kissed.

And doesn't John know it.

"God, we're not going to get anywhere with this," John says, but he's smiling. He nuzzles JP's jaw, and then gives him a quick kiss. "Because I was totally going to say, 'Whatever YOU wanna do'."

John's hopeless. He just wants JP happy.

"Yeah, sure, that works," John answered vaguely, taking JP's hand in his and leading him over to the bar.

"I'll get, um, an Amaretto and Coke," he tells the Doombot. He glances over at Jean-Paul. "Tastes like Dr. Pepper. You?"

"Definitely bonus. But, how do you know you won't?" John asks. He's not good at the drinking thing.

Even though he sips on his own. "But, yeah, I can do that." Probably.
