I did a little calculations and I learned that to be able to have all chapters of my thesis written by the end of the year, I should be able to produce a whole chapter every two weeks. I don't know if that's possible. I'm feeling quite scared right now. Could I just run away or something?
Right now I'm writing the analysis chapters which are very time-consuming, but on the other hand I know what I'm doing. The theory chapters should be faster to write, but unfortunately I barely have an idea what I will be writing there.
Today I've been writing for 2 hours so far. The outcome: 1 page. One. Messing up with the corpus, choosing good example sentences, doing calculations, maybe checking something from a book sometimes and stuff like that take huge amounts of time. I know that, but it's still frustrating to work your ass off and then have one page of text as a result.
On a good day I can write for about 4 hours, but every day is not a good day. I'd like to think that 2 hours would be enough, especially when I do write more when a deadline is coming near (= meeting with fellow students or my prof). I also need to read for exams more or less every day. So, which is it: to run or to hide?
